In the record
Though the Presidency Chaplain conducted the services from 1815, it was on 6 January 1816, that the first Anglican Bishop of Calcutta, Thomas Fanshaw Middleton consecrated the church to "the service of God according to the use of the Church of England".
Aha will show a draggable historical comparison here only when a sourced archival image and a sourced current view are available. Until then, the dated record stays textual and verifiable.
MAPS + SATELLITE
See what time left on the landscape.
Maps reveal position. Satellite imagery reveals the present landscape. Historical imagery is labeled separately because coverage varies.
Aha distinguishes dated historical records, reusable archival media, present-day maps and satellite context. A historical image is never labeled as ‘Then’ unless a source is attached.
